DANIEL SIMONINI

Daniel Simonini is a Brazilian-born, Milan-refined designer whose work exists at the intersection of architecture, sculpture, and industrial precision. He is the founder and creative director of SIMONINI — a global design studio dedicated to crafting timeless, handcrafted furniture rooted in sensual minimalism and structural clarity.

Raised between cultures and trained between disciplines, Daniel blends the intuitive sensibility of a maker with the strategic rigor of a designer. He studied in Milan at IED – Istituto Europeo di Design – and earned a Master’s degree in Industrial and Interior Design from SPD – Scuola Politecnica di Design. Early in his career, he collaborated with some of Italy’s most renowned design masters, including Ferruccio Laviani, Rodolfo Dordoni, Piero Lissoni, Roberto Palomba, and Raffaella Mangiarotti — a formative period that deeply influenced his aesthetic and architectural approach.

His trajectory spans over a decade of international collaborations, award-winning creations, and a deep commitment to process — where the raw material, the human hand, and the line between function and form all share equal importance.

With a background in industrial design and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Daniel brings discipline, restraint, and purpose into everything he builds — from a solid wood chair to a global distribution strategy. His pieces are not just designed — they are composed: of proportion, silence, intention.

Under his direction, SIMONINI has established a unique presence in the global design landscape, uniting Italian-Brazilian heritage, sustainable craftsmanship, and a sharp curatorial eye. His work has been recognized by institutions such as the IF Design Award, German Design Award, Compasso d’Oro, LED Festival Milano, Iconic Design Awards, Museu da Casa Brasileira, and Premio Salão Design.

With an international approach, Daniel continues to shape spaces, objects, and systems that last — not by resisting time, but by resonating with it.
